 Day 1:

Generally all I did today was serge the chiffon. I love my interlock machine!! I am gonna marry it!!!

 Day 2:

Today I cut out the pattern for the main body of the dress and cut my cotton spandex blend satin out. Then I pinned the whole thing onto my dress form to see how it would look with the train the way I wanted it. Success! Here are pictures!

 Day 3:

Tonight I sewed (laboriously) the chiffon onto the back of the dress and surged the sides. No pictures tonight (unless I stop being lazy and get the one off my other computer)

 Day 4:

I managed to get a good amount of work done. I ended up having to resurge the chiffon to the front because the way I'd done it before it bunched oddly when I walked. Then what I did when I got home from work was to sew on the front facing and get the four straps attatched at the front. No pictures tonight.

 Day 5:

Today I got the back facing onto the dress and now the straps are fully sewn on. I need to clip threads and hem the bottom but for the most part the body of the dress is finished. Pictures!!! (fear my pouffy blonde hair)

 Day 6:

Today I trimmed some of the treads and hemmed the bottom of the dress. I used a lace hem binding after surging it to keep it from fraying. No pictures today.

 Day 7:

This evening I made the final pieces to the dress. The pins for the sides (made with primo sculpey and glass beads), and the pendant made from the same things. After firing the sculpy, I proceeded to paint with delta ceramacoat in gold to get the colouring better. The chain was made with chain from Michaels as well as metal beads which were stuck to the chain using high temperature hot glue. All that I have left now is the ribbon for around my neck which I will pick up tomorrow and then photographs! One picture of the pendant and the pins follows:
