| Admiral Daala |

|
Character Name: Admiral Daala Source: Star Wars Jedi Academy by Kevin J. Anderson Total Cost: 160 USD Time Consumed: 60+ hours Why I made it: This costume was made for my joining of the 501st league of stormtroopers and imperials. My number is now ID2670 so clearly it worked. Originally the costume was just a generic imperial admiral's uniform but over time I decided that Admiral Daala was a worthy personage for the costume to become. (especially since I had red hair). How I made it: The pattern was modified - more or less - from a civil war uniform pattern. Of course when I say modified, I mean that I used the pattern paper to cut my own entirely different pattern lol. The fabric I used was a bottomweight poly cotton blend which was the stiffest most uncomfortable seeming fabric I could find (thus making it good for an imperial) that still came in gray. I found boots and purchased those on e-bay, and I purchased rank bars and a belt from "the prop palace" online. Those of course took forever to reach me, but when they finally did they were very nice indeed. I did have to create a new hole for the belt about halfway in as I was skinnier than I had been, and certainly it was made for a man. The code cylinders are made from chalk holders with the little cap painted blue with blue nail-polish. The cover came considerably later and was made using a pattern from a site online. The greeblie for the cover was made from three washers and sculpy. Likes: This outfit in general is so much fun to wear. I love that I outrank my entire garrison in it and I can tell the stormies what to do (I love you guys!!!). Dislikes: I don't like the rank bars. I would like to make new ones eventually.
