Why I made it: Annie (Silent_Hill on cosplay.com) does the most amazing Lara Croft EVER. It's like the role was MADE for her. Then along comes this mysterious Amanda character who looks and dresses a bit like me.. When her bio came out though - that was the clincher. She has the same views on reality and everything as me too. I simply HAD to cosplay her!

How I made it: The jacket was drafted from scratch using stretch cotton twill. The appliqués were sewn on by machine and the hooks were hand sewn. I made the gloves with spandex and a simple hand pattern and I already had the leather pants and the boots. The wig was simply a longer one which I cut and styled to look like Amanda's hair. The choker was made with primo sculpey and suede as well as metal snaps and an O ring.

Likes: I love how powerful the costume makes me feel. It must be the jacket or something. It is very goth which is a style I like, and I love wearing the stomping boots. It's also fun to have something to wear with Annie's Lara.

Dislikes: I don't like that I have to wear a bra under this to keep it looking right. But then we can't all be made of polygons.
